June and some of July

Most recently we hit Brianhead for a family vacation with Troy's family.
It was really fun, road biking, mountain biking, walks to the store, ATVs, story time with G-ma, movies, cousins, crafts, and tons of food.

The aunts, uncles, g-ma and pa.

The cousins.

Fairy Princesses

Fourth of July we spent sick. So it was low key throwing of snaps and sparklers and early bed time. Then Monday when we felt a little better and went up to the neighbors to watch fireworks.

Grandpa and Grandma have headed out on a Mission for the Church. The went to Yerevan, Armenia. They will be there 18 months. They stayed with us before leaving.

We also did our first class away from mom. Kindermusik. Kate loved it. Lots of singing, crafts and snacks. We did a session of swim classes too. Kate passed Pre-1 and meet a new friend. We stayed everyday after class having lunch, and swimming with her new friends Kali and Jaycee and Lindsey. The first day Lindsey wasn't there after class and having just learned each others name Kali and Kate called each other Lindsey the whole time. It was funny, but we got it figured out. Kate will swim under water and swim to the side or me in the 2 feet pool. She loves the water.

This week we are going camping without dad for a day and a half, then he will join us. Kate is so excited to go and so am I.

Flower Girl

We went to Vegas for Brianne's wedding. It was a gorgeous place. Kate was the flower girl and the boys ring bearers. They had a long walk to make to get to the site. A water fall on the left and a lake on the right. They may have been distracted a bit. The security guard even tried to keep them headed in the right direction. They finally made it and liked it so much they did 2 laps down the isle. Cutie pies. Brianne looked amazing and it was a happy day.

They had to be coaxed down the isle the waterfall and pond with fish were a slight distraction.

It was so windy. But the hair looked great.

BIRTHMOTHER'S DAY

May 8th is a day we cherish in our hearts. We honor you and thank you for making our life complete. Kate brings us so much joy and happiness. She is an amazing little girl. Sometimes I just stare at her and think how beautiful she is, she is a reflection of you.

She loves music and singing, princess songs from Disney are her favorite. She also sings I love to See the Temple, Follow the Prophet, and I know that my Savior loves Me, a new primary program song that is so sweet.

We are reading scripture stories and she has connected a picture of Moroni to the Angel Moroni on top of the Temple. He plays a Tuba, she says.

Happy Birth Mother's Day. We love you.

Hamberger Lip

"mom I'm brave"

Sounds of happiness quickly change to terror. There were no witnesses just a loud bump. She says she fell off my bed; a far way to fall for a little girl.

Easter

We started our fun at the Valley of Fire. If you ever have time to drive through it is a beautiful place for a picnic. (not in the summer 100 degree plus)

The first thing Kate did was stick her head in the sand. She loves dirt!

Annual Easter egg dyeing at grandma's house. The eggs were delicious.

Above our heads are Indian writings or petroglyphs.

Kate and Knox at the bottom of Ataltal Rock.

These holes were called "tunnels." This is my favorite hole in the park. I have lots of pictures with different heads peeking out of it. It is located at the visitor center.

Kate Capades continue...

So I thought I would continue "Kate Capades",

Sunday we went into the bathroom stall. Kate said mom I want to see your bum.
(okay just for the record we don't do nudity around Kate) I responded you might see my bum yes. Then I sat down to do my thing and Kate says, "mom you have a big bum," while holding up her hands to show me how big. Luckily no one else was in the restroom to hear. (so why am I putting this on the web?)

Today as we drove to the library and mall she said mom lets go to Neverland. (Peter Pan is the new favorite movie) I said should we fly, yes mom. Me: But we do not have any pixie dust. Kate: Mom we will just use our arms to fly, as she flaps her arms repeatedly.

Kate loves it when her dad comes home from work the first words out of her mouth are Daddy can I paint on your phone. Dad has an iphone. She can use it proficiently. She draws, plays games like, make a princess, or memory games, animal sounds, etc. I think Troy downloads a new game every day for her. We joke that she needs her own ipod touch. 2.5 years old, what could I do at that age? Our lives where sure different than kids now.

She is so creative and funny. It amazes me what her little brain comes up with and remembers.
